Practice overview
Hi, I’m Jules and I am a Birth Doula. I was born in a hospital in California and grew up in the Sierra Foothills. I am the protective middle sibling to a fiery younger brother and whimsical older sister. My call to support people started as their sister, reading them to bed at night or standing up for them in school. I know what it is like to have my boundaries crossed and it is important for me to now be able to utilize my voice to protect the rights of menstruating, pregnant, and birthing people. Offering doula support to my community is how I advocate for reproductive justice and bodily autonomy. In the transitional and vulnerable time after someone becomes pregnant, I hope to be a source of empathetic, unconditional, and resourceful support.

Getting to know her was such an extraordinary experience and she made birth and labor so calming and beautiful. She worked with me and my husbands needs throughout the entire process (pregnancy and birth). She supported him as well and gave him guidance on how to be there for me. She is truly a wonderful doula and human.

Truly a fairy that will come sprinkle a listening ear, guide you through contractions, watch the baby while you shower, do dishes because she sees them needed to be taken care of! She’s so knowledgeable and unbelievably supportive. I do not know what I would’ve done without her during my birth or the first few weeks postpartum. Wish I could bottle her up and sprinkle her magic anytime I need it during this new mommahood.

As new parents embarking on an unknown journey, it was important for us to find support. We did not want to feel alone and isolated during a life altering experience. Julia was our birth and postpartum doula and we are so happy she was a part of it. She is passionate, empathic, knowledgeable, attentive, intentional and a strong advocator. She has given me the strength, courage, knowledge and the empowerment of what my body is capable of doing! I am so happy with my birthing experience and I highly recommend Julia to be a part of your support system.
