Practice overview
I am a mother of 4 adult children. Raising them has been the joy of my life. I have a passion for serving others and have spent my life working with families and children several roles. I was a sign language interpreter when my children were young, I eventually began working in family ministry. Two years ago I decided to take a leap of faith and follow my passion to support moms, dads and babies. Part of that decision comes from the lack of support I felt when my children were born. Not that my husband of now 28 years wasn’t great, because he was. But we were not informed and felt run over by the medical system in woman’s health. So my desire is to make sure no new mom’s ever feel alone, always feel like they have the right to choose, and feel informed to make educated choices surrounding their pregnancy, birth and postpartum!

July 12, 2024 at 5:48 pm | Peer reviewI am an L&D nurse who has both hospital and birth center experience and I can honestly say that Chris is one of the most supportive and compassionate doulas I have ever known or worked with! She supports her clients through extensive education prenatally, strongly advocates for their wishes and rights in the birth space, and provides personalized support during the postpartum period to ensure the whole family unit is well taken care of. She is a lover of humanity and openly welcomes clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. She is passionate about creating a comfortable, safe space for her clients and she is excellent at making her families feel right at home with her. Even before she became a doula, she helped friends and families for decades with their breast feeding journey’s and has gone on to be an an incredible resource for her clients as a lactation consultant. Her clients know she’s only a call or text away and no question is too small or too silly to ask! From a healthcare professional’s standpoint, she is an awesome team player with the ability to provide exceptional care to her clients while also being cognizant of the nurse and provider roles in the birth space. She is easy to work with and my coworkers and I find her to be very helpful due to her extensive knowledge about birth. Chris ensures lines of communication stay open throughout the labor process and has a strong focus on informed consent and empowering her clients with knowledge. I have personally

July 15, 2024 at 6:34 am | Client reviewChris was an absolute God send for me and my husband the first few weeks after I gave birth. She would stay overnight with us a few days a week and became a crucial part of our routine as new parents. She would provide us with her professional opinion when we asked and would check in on us during the day after she left. She truly cared for our whole family and it was so nice to have someone we trusted so much care for our newborn. You will be in great hands with Chris!
